The use of oral chemotherapy is growing rapidly with dozens of molecules currently on the market. Despite numerous advantages, these therapies are not without iatrogenic effects and risks, notably related to inadequate compliance or the trivialisation of the toxic repercussions. Community pharmacists have a major role to play in the care of patients taking oral cytotoxic medicines to ensure they are being used properly and to provide appropriate advice.
