Abstract
Incremental cycling tests can differentiate blood lactate transition thresholds and are commonly used to define intensity prescriptions for training. Lactate threshold and individual anaerobic threshold (IAT) are the most commonly used variables in this context. In addition, competition performance in several cycling disciplines can be predicted by models including data obtained from exercise testing.
