Abstract
Penile fracture is a rare trauma pathology that occurs in most cases during sexual intercourse. As a result of trauma a break in continuity in the cavernous body is produced and can affect the urethra in some cases. The diagnosis is clinical, but it can be supported by imaging techniques such as ultrasound. We report the case of a man of 39 years old who came to the emergency department with intense pain, hematoma, detumescence and penile deformity after trauma during intercourse. Although clinically compatible with penile fracture, a penile ultrasound is performed, showing a break in the dorsal region of right corpus cavernosum of about one centimeter, which facilitates its identification and surgical repair. After discharge, the patient remains normal erectile function.
