Abstract
We concluded that retrograde intramedullary nailing appears to be a reliable treatment option, mainly for distal femoral fractures. However, in the management of diaphyseal fractures, retrograde intramedullary nailing is associated with high rates of knee pain and lower rates of fracture union.
