Abstract
Since 1996, young women at an urban hospital-based adolescent clinic and drug treatment center increased their awareness, use, and positive attitudes towards EC, as well as decreased their perceived barriers to using EC. Educational interventions that focus on improving knowledge among younger adolescents, specifically about correct time limits and identifying ways to find affordable EC, will address the most common knowledge deficits and perceived barriers to EC use among adolescents.
