Abstract
N2 laser light irradiation upon a gaseous mixture of carbon disulfide (CS2) and tetraethenylgermane (TEG) induced unique co-polymerization of both molecules, which resulted in the formation of composite TEG/CS2 sedimentary aerosol particles. The chemical structure of the particles assessed by EDX-SEM, XP and FT-IR spectral analyses was compatible with the incorporation of TEG into photo-polymerizing CS2 through reaction at the ethenyl group.
