Abstract
The present findings provide evidence that hypoestrogenism in schizophrenia occurs in women with and without antipsychotic-induced hyperprolactinemia. Further research should be conducted to clarify the cause of hypoestrogenism in schizophrenic women and focus on possible clinical implications.
