Abstract
A control theoretic model for single bit resource marking (SBRM), a TCP variant based on congestion pricing theory, is presented in this article. We also examine the impact of instability on networks and show that instability causes decreased utilization. From our results we conclude that SBRM is more efficient than TCP Reno with RED queues.
