Abstract
A mixed variational formulation is used to solve the stationary Navier-Stokes equations with hyper dissipation. In this formulation, the laplacian of the velocity, the velocity and the pressure are the most relevant unknowns. For the linear case, the existence and uniqueness results for this mixed formulation are proved. Then, numerical results are presented for the nonlinear case.
