Solution of the laminated plate design problem: new problems and algorithms

The paper deals with the laminated plate design problem formulated as follows: Find all designs giving the plate the required mechanical properties. The paper presents a complete analysis of the main types of design problems for the case when a given set of homogeneous isotropic materials is available to manufacture the plate. Solution of the design problem is obtained using the convex combinations problem technique.
