Abstract
The present paper addresses the analysis of large-scale three dimensional magneto-mechanical problems by means of a coupled boundary element-finite element procedure. Iterative techniques are used for the solution of the associated linear systems; their intrinsic ill-conditioning is cured by means of ad-hoc multigrid solvers and fast multipole techniques as accelerators. Some numerical examples are presented in order to test the performance of the proposed approach.
