Abstract
The Cubic-Interpolated Propagation/Constrained Interpolation Profile (CIP) method is applied to the fluid-structure interaction like swimming fish and skimmer in the Cartesian grid system. These subjects require accurate calculation of pressure on the surface of the moving body. Using the accurate profile of pressure inside a grid cell, we estimate the force acting on the rigid body even if the rigid body has a structure in a scale smaller than grid cell. The CIP method is used to define such subgrid-scale structure. The experiments are performed to show the accuracy of the simulations.
