Abstract
Investigations of the surfactant solution flow through foams stabilized using sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS), Triton X-100 with glycerol, electrolyte and gelatine additives with known minimum and maximum Plateau border radii were carried out. Experimental results were compared with calculated ones using the equations of Desai, Kumar and Nguyen. Experimental volumetric flow rates (Qexp) in the foam stabilized with Triton X-100 with added glycerol were the similar to these calculated using the Desai and Kumar formulae. In the foam stabilized with SDS with a gelatine additive, Qexp was greater than the calculated value.
