Abstract
A new ultrathin composite multilayer film was prepared by alternating adsorption of [Nd(SiW9Mo2O39)2]13â and a novel Ru(II) complex cation of [Ru(bpy)2(BPBH)]2+ (in which BPBH = 1,6-bis-((2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazoyl))hexane, bpy = 2,2â²-bipyridine) by electrostatic layer-by-layer self-assembly technique. The multilayer film was characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that the film was grown regularly and was of good electrochemical activity.
