Abstract
Simulations of the impedance data for the hydrogen evolution reaction have been carried out. They indicate that there is no relation between the phase-shift and the surface coverage by adsorbed hydrogen. The surface coverage may only be obtained form the rate constants of the hydrogen adsorption and desorption steps.
