Abstract
The authors manufactured a high accuracy heavy-duty variable compression ratio single cylinder engine to investigate its performance and emissions characteristics. The test engine was run at 1400 rpm with a compression ratio of 8. Spark timing was set to MBT (minimum spark advance for best torque). This paper investigates the effects of hydrogen enriched LPG fueled engine on exhaust emission, thermal efficiency and performance.
