Abstract
A novel microporous coordination polymer: {â2[Cu(C8H3NO6)·(C5H5N)2] is synthesized by solvent-thermal methods. The metal Cu2+ ion center is located in a trigonal bipyramid environment: three O atoms from carboxyl groups furnishing the equatorial plane and the other two N atoms from pyridines occupying axes-sites. These double-chain molecules are arranged in an orderly open framework to furnish the cavities along the a-axis. And their properties are well discussed in this paper.
