Abstract
Two title compounds, 18-crown-6/4-phenylthiosemicarbazide, 1, and cis-anti-cis-dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6/N,Nâ²-diphenylthiourea, 2, both of 1:2 ratio, exhibit one-dimensional (chain) and zero-dimensional (molecular complex) structures correspondingly. The crystals of 1 are monoclinic, space group P21/c, a=13.142(2), b=20.367(5), c=12.090(3)Â Ã
, β=92.32(1)°, V=3233.4(1) Ã
3, Z=4. The crystals of 2 are triclinic, space group P-1, a=9.958(2), b=13.223(3), c=17.293(4)Â Ã
, α=87.96(3), β=86.93(3), γ=86.55(3)°, V=2268.5(8) Ã
3, Z=2. The adducts are sustained by N-Hâ¯O hydrogen bonds. Weak C(aryl)-Hâ¯S interactions are responsible for the corrugated chain formation in 1.
