Abstract
Mesoporous silicon oxynitrides MCM-41 are synthesized successfully. The resulting materials show not only high nitrogen content, but also have good structural characteristics of MCM-41 (high surface area, narrow pore size distribution, and good order). The composition and structure of the materials were investigated by CNH analysis, IR spectra, 29Si MAS NMR CP spectra, XRD, high-resolution TEM and N2 sorption measurements. Mesoporous silicon oxynitrides MCM-41 are still amorphous after nitridation at high temperature and for a long time.
