Abstract
Tin oxide with an ordered hexagonal mesocomposite was synthesized in the presence of cationic and neutral mixed surfactants at room temperature, and a red shift in the absorption spectrum and novel room temperature photoluminescence in the ultraviolet and green spectral ranges were observed. The results obtained indicate that the interfacial effect between the tin oxide and the surfactants plays an important role in the optical properties.
