Abstract
We compare the recent Lattice Gauge Theory calculations on QCD thermodynamics at finite chemical potential and temperature with the results obtained in heavy ion phenomenology. We argue that in the hadronic phase basic thermodynamic properties of QCD medium obtained in LGT are well described by the phenomenological partition function of hadron resonance gas. This partition function was previously successfully applied to describe particle production yields in heavy ion collisions.
