Abstract
This paper presents the MuScat experiment to measure the scattering of 172 MeV/c muons in low Z materials. There is discussion of the tracker, time of flight and calorimeter systems. Data are compared with GEANT4 simulation code, and the results for around 1% X0 aluminium, beryllium and liquid hydrogen are presented.
