Abstract
A phenomenological model is presented in which differential cross sections for diffractive processes in p¯p interactions are derived from the underlying inclusive parton distribution functions of the nucleon. In this model, diffractive production occurs through the exchange of low-x partons from the quark/gluon sea of the interacting nucleons subject to QCD color constraints.
