Abstract
The HARP experiment at the CERN PS has collected data for hadroproduction measurements with a large set of targets, ranging from hydrogen to lead, in the momentum range 1.5 - 15 GeV/c. The performances of the apparatus, both the large angle detector and the forward spectrometer, are outlined. First results for a thin 5%λ aluminium K2K replica target with a 12.9 GeV/c proton beam are reported.
