Abstract
We here report on a search for lepton-flavor violating τ decays, τ→(μ/e)+(π0/η/η′), with a 153.8 fb−1 data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e− asymmetric-energy collider. For each of the six decay modes, the observed yield is compatible with background and the 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fraction are obtained as 0.13 −1.0 × 10-6 which are a factor of 9 to 74 times better than previous measurements.
