Abstract
We present recent results of baryonic B decays from Belle and BaBar, which include charmed and charmless decays into two, three and four body final states. The observed branching fractions indicate a strong suppression of lower multiplicity decays in the baryonic B decays. Belle observes a common behavior of di-baryon invariant masses peaked at the threshold in three body charmless decays, and also a low (Λc+p¯) mass enhancement in the charmed three body decay B−→Λc+p¯π−. We discuss the mechanism of the baryonic B decays from the naive viewpoint of the constituent b-quark decays through the b→c(u) tree and b→s(d) penguin transitions. We also present preliminary results of pentaquark searches from BaBar.
