Abstract
We present recent results of baryonic B decays from Belle and BaBar, which include charmed and charmless decays into two, three and four body final states. The observed branching fractions indicate a strong suppression of lower multiplicity decays in the baryonic B decays. Belle observes a common behavior of di-baryon invariant masses peaked at the threshold in three body charmless decays, and also a low (Îc+p¯) mass enhancement in the charmed three body decay BââÎc+p¯Ïâ. We discuss the mechanism of the baryonic B decays from the naive viewpoint of the constituent b-quark decays through the bâc(u) tree and bâs(d) penguin transitions. We also present preliminary results of pentaquark searches from BaBar.
