Abstract
Preliminary results of a measurement of |Vcb| by the CLEO collaboration are presented. The analysis uses a fit to moments of lepton energy, hadronic mass, and q2 in BâXcâν and photon energy in BâXsγ to determine |Vcb| and the HQET parameters to a third-order expansion in 1/mb. The CLEO measurements of the moments are briefly summarized. We measure |Vcb| and mb to be (42.3±0.8)Ã10â3 and 4.564â0.074+0.073 GeV/c2, respectively. Only experimental uncertainties are included in these preliminary results. Theoretical uncertainties are under study.
