Abstract
The influence of the nuclear medium on lepto-production of hadrons was recently studied in the HERMES experiment at DESY in deep-inelastic scattering of 27.6 GeV positrons. These experimental results give new insights on two peculiar aspects of quark propagation in nuclei, specifically hadronization and color transparency. They also provide a precise data set for modeling neutrino-nucleus interactions in the range from a few GeV to a few tens of GeV.
