Abstract
⺠This paper addresses pre-positioning emergency supplies for hurricane relief. âºÂ The perspective is a commercial manufacturer who serves multiple retail locations. âºÂ A stochastic programming model and heuristic solution methodology are proposed. âºÂ Computational testing involves scenarios generated from real-world hurricane data. âºÂ Results indicate that pre-positioning is more cost effective than current practice.
