Abstract
Higher homocysteinemia was predominantly observed in men, presenting low HDL-C, and at advancing age. Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase and methionine synthase polymorphisms did not contribute to risk assessment in diabetic and non-diabetic subjects presenting normal folate levels.
