Abstract
⺠Resource rents owed to the state from energy resource extraction can be significant. ⺠Benefits if mining energy resources are over-stated when the role of sensitive environmental assets is ignored. ⺠Threshold values could help to resolve conflicts between environmental preservation and resource extraction.
