Abstract
The aldosterone-to-renin ratio may have an important role in determining arterial stiffness, particularly wave reflection and aortic systolic pressure and is of predictive value for the responsiveness to spironolactone. Aldosterone antagonism has BP-independent effects on arterial stiffness.
