Abstract
⺠Car ownership in Syria is low, but has more than doubled since 2004. ⺠Air pollution from Syria's transport and energy production sectors are analysed. ⺠Air quality can be improved by using greener and more public transport. ⺠Policy should incentivise efficient energy consumption in all sectors. ⺠The use of renewable energy resources should be promoted.
