Abstract
In patients with CHF, lower SIrelates to higher mortality, independent of body composition and established prognosticators. Impaired SImay have implications in the pathophysiology of CHF disease progression. Therapeutically targeting impaired insulin sensitivity may potentially be beneficial in patients with CHF.
