Abstract
The recovery of 15N in crops and leachate did not indicate any immobilization potential of the FYM. It is concluded that the application method cannot compensate for the higher potential for N leaching losses after autumn application and the synchronization between availability of FYM N and crop N need was not improved by the different application techniques.
