Abstract
Gangliosides GD3 and GD2 are involved and further play important roles in many cancers. GD3 synthase (GD3S) is the only enzyme that regulates the biosynthesis of GD3 and GD2. The potential of GD3S to serve as a novel drug target in cancer is focused in this review.193
