Abstract
Starting the vaccination in children born before 32nd gestational age during their hospitalization in the department of neonatology before discharging home influences effectively on performing the following immunization according to the schedule and monitoring the child for the next 48-72 hours. Children born before 26th gestational age must not be vaccinated until 12 week of life. Children born between 30-32nd gestational age may be vaccinated with a first dosage of DTaP -HBV-IPV-HIB at the scheduled time (in 8th week of life). Vaccinations in neonates born prematurely are safe and very seldom connected with increased frequency of post-vaccination side-effects.
