Abstract
▶ Severe leaf harvest affected population structure and individual attributes. ▶ Population growth rates did not differ from or were slightly larger than unity. ▶ Stasis was the component that most contributed to lambda values. ▶ Production of cones and recruitment were lowest under severe annual leaf harvest. ▶ Sustainable use of Dioon merolae should be based on moderate leaf harvest.
