Abstract
▶ Fire strongly reduced snail diversity and species richness. ▶ Forest species living in the humus were particularly impacted. ▶ Postfire management produced variation in habitat structure according to different levels of wood removal. ▶ We found slight differences within the postfire practices due to the strong impact of fire. ▶ There was a positive response of generalist snail species in areas with accumulation of wood debris.
