Abstract
▶ Effects of whorl-wise and proleptic pruning on growth of wild cherry have been studied. ▶ Pruning methods and intensities are not affecting height growth. ▶ Diameter growth is strongly and immediately affected after pruning. ▶ DBH-increment losses can be reduced by applying special pruning methods. ▶ Vitality of secondary shoots can be influenced significantly by pruning methods.
