Abstract
â¶ High initial compaction degrees prevented further compaction. â¶ High water contents on clay soils led to plastic deformation rather than compaction. â¶ Machine mass and soil water content significantly influenced the compaction degree. â¶ Traffic significantly influenced soil CO2 concentration within and between tracks.
