Abstract
▶ Positive but not consistent net effect of biodiversity on aboveground tree N and P pools. ▶ Tree species strongly varied in their N and P use efficiencies. ▶ Three species mixtures showed lower P use efficiencies compared to monocultures or six-species mixtures. ▶ Environmental conditions explained 58% of the variation in aboveground N and P pools.
