Abstract
ⶠEnvironmental factors influenced presence of ground layer climbers. ⶠCharacteristics of the host tree influenced the presence of climbing lianas. ⶠRoot climbers were more abundant on large trees than tendril climbers or twiners. ⶠLiana DBH and abundance was positively related to DBH of host tree. ⶠCertain tree species were more susceptible to liana colonization than others.
