Abstract
ⶠInformation is needed to guide forest management after natural and anthropogenic disturbances. ⶠWe examined how avian nest survival changed due to salvage logging of beetle-killed forests. ⶠNest survival for weak and strong cavity nesters was significantly higher than for ground nesters. ⶠOf the 6 most common nesting species, 3 responded positively and 3 negatively to treatments. ⶠSelective harvest prescriptions after beetle outbreaks may meet multiple management objectives.
