Abstract
⺠We explore how changing place contexts shape community lives of rural older people. ⺠Community changes influenced experiences with services, social relations and cohesion. ⺠The concern given to these issues depended on people's connection to their place. ⺠Older adults related in different ways to these sites, based on their life-histories. ⺠Rural ageing is not uniform and not derived from generic experiences in static places.
