Abstract
⺠The relationship between the gender of vets and animal disease tests is analysed. ⺠Male and female vets find different levels of bovine tuberculosis. ⺠Performance indicators are not suitable as a method of quality control. ⺠Differences may be due to the way veterinary regulation is organised. ⺠More social studies of the veterinary profession should be conducted.
