Real-time stereo matching using memory-efficient Belief Propagation for high-definition 3D telepresence systems

► A real-time and high-definition stereo matching algorithm is presented. ► The proposal is an improved Belief Propagation algorithm with pixel classification. ► It also includes a message compression technique that reduces memory traffic. ► The total memory traffic reduction is about 90%. ► The algorithm improves the overall performance by more than 6%.
