Abstract
⺠We compared sensitivity to eye contact between adults 6-14-year-olds and adults. ⺠Sensitivity to horizontal deviations from direct gaze was adult-like by age 8. ⺠Sensitivity to vertical deviations was nearly adult-like by age 6. ⺠By age 8, children's sensitivity to eye contact was adult-like on all measures.
