Abstract
âºDestination image between two culturally similar yet politically divided nations was examined. ⺠Four factors were identified in actual and potential Chinese visitors' image of Taiwan. ⺠Cultural proximity was found to be the most significant predictor of travel intention. ⺠Mainland Chinese visitors had an ambivalent image of Taiwan as being both mysterious and home-like.
