Abstract
► Rate capabilities of LiMn2O4 and LiFePO4 in ionic liquids (ILs) have been monitored. ► The mixed imidazolium ILs give better rate capability of LiMn2O4 than piperidinium. ► The charge-transfer rate in IL has been discussed in relation to rate capabilities.
